Our History
Prior to the start of Cooper Consolidated in 2003, both The Cooper Group and Consolidated Terminals and Logistics Co. (CTLC), a division of CGB Enterprises, Inc. provided mid-stream stevedoring out of the Gulf.
Founded in 1905, The Cooper Group was a household name on the river. They earned a worldwide reputation as the stevedoring experts and were known for their high capacity floating cranes. Over the years The Cooper Group grew their operations and had six mid-stream berths out of Darrow, LA at mile markers LM 171-180.
Founded in 1970, CGB was a major player in the inland transportation business and had terminals located throughout the inland waterway system. In 1995, CGB installed their first midstream anchorage in Laplace, LA and started operations under a new division, CTLC. In the following years CTLC grew to 3 mid-stream berths in Laplace at mile markers LM 133-135.
The pairing of these companies in 2003 has provided customers with a vast network of logistics solutions.
